Why Add Credentials to Your Email Signature?
Your Territorium LifeJourney credentials are more than just an image, they’re verifiable digital records of your achievements. Adding them to your email signature helps you:
-
Showcase your skills to colleagues, employers, and partners.
-
Promote credibility by linking to a secure, verifiable source.
-
Spread awareness of your institution’s credentialing program and the LifeJourney platform.
-
Avoid confusion from static screenshots that can’t be clicked or validated.
When you include your credential properly, anyone who receives your email can click through to view and verify it instantly.
Best Practices for Displaying Credentials
-
Do not use a screenshot of the credential. Screenshots look nice but don’t link back to verification.
-
Always use the official credential link. This ensures your credential remains verifiable and up to date.
-
Keep your signature clean. Use a small, properly sized credential icon next to your contact details rather than a large image.
-
Consider including a short text line. Example: “View my verified credential in Digital Marketing”.

Step 2: Insert Your Credential into Your Email Signature
The exact steps may vary depending on your email provider or client (e.g., Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, etc.), but in general:
- Open your email settings or preferences, and locate the Signature section.
- Place your cursor where you’d like the credential to appear.
- Use the Insert Image option to upload the credential image you downloaded.
- Resize the image so it’s small or medium, keeping your signature professional.
- Highlight the image, use the Insert Link option, and paste your credential URL.
- Save your changes.
Step 3: Share Multiple Credentials
If you want to highlight more than one credential, LifeJourney allows you to create a section of credentials and generate a single, persistent share URL. This is often the best option for professionals who are continually earning new credentials.
-
Create your credential section using the:
-
Once your section is created, copy the share URL generated by LifeJourney.
-
Insert this URL into your email signature in one of two ways:
-
Hyperlink a small LifeJourney or credential icon image, OR
-
Add a short text line such as “View my verified credentials”.
-
Important: The benefit of this method is that the URL is persistent — you can update the section of credentials at any time, and your email signature will always point to the latest version without needing to update the signature itself.
Step 4: Test Your Signature
Send a test email to yourself. Make sure:
-
The credential (or credential section) displays correctly.
-
The image or text links directly to your verifiable credential page or credential section.
