How to login to LifeJourney using Single Sign On from your institution

Activate your LifeJourney account using your existing credentials from your institution.

Your institution may allow you to use your existing student credentials to log in to LifeJourney using a Single-Sign-On (SSO) process. Make sure to read the instructions you receive from the institution closely to see if this has been configured.  

Otherwise, you will use the code activation process to create your account.

SSO process for Web

Access LifeJourney at life.territorium.com and enter your email. Do not use the Create Your Account link on this page.

If your intuition has configured SSO it will recognize your email format and change your login screen to provide a Log In with SSO button. Click that button to proceed.

The next screen will launch the identity provider that is used for your institution (e.g.: Microsoft Entra, Okta, etc.). You should be used to seeing this authentication screen whenever you login to your school email or learning management system. The examples below demonstrate account creation for every provider but only Okta is shown in the images.

Enter your username (email address) and your password and select Sign In

You will see the screen authorizing your login before you are redirected in to the LifeJourney application.

When you enter LifeJourney, make sure to click on Complete your profile to finish your account set-up.

Check that your name appears correctly. You should also add your Student ID as it appears on your ID card, set your default language, add your location, and date of birth. These settings help make sure we display the right features that are localized to you.

You can also review the application’s terms of service and privacy policy links before completing this step. When all the information is complete, select Accept to complete your account set-up.

As your institution assigns items to you in the form of assessment tests or tasks to complete to earn credentials, you will see them on your main screen when you log in.  

SSO for mobile

Access the LifeJourney app from either the iOS or Android app stores. When the app opens, enter your email address. Do not use the Create Your Account link on this page. If your institution has configured SSO, it will recognize your email format and change your login screen to provide a black login button specific to your provider (the example below shows this institution is using Microsoft). Click that button to proceed.

The next screen will launch the identity provider that is used for your institution (e.g.: Microsoft Entra, Okta, etc.). Select Continue to allow the application to proceed. You will be prompted to see an authentication screen from your identity provider (i.e.: Microsoft). Enter your username and password with the credentials you regularly use at your institution. Then select Sign In

You will see the screen authorizing your login before you are redirected into the LifeJourney application, and you may be prompted to accept granting the application permission to use these credentials to log in to the app in the future. Click Accept.

Next, make sure to complete your profile to finish your account set-up. Check that your name appears correct. You should also add your Student ID as it appears on your ID card, and add your location, and date of birth. These settings help make sure we display the right features that are localized to you. When these fields are completed, select Next.

You will then be prompted to add a profile image. To do so, select Add picture and either take a new picture or select one from your phone’s photo collection. The profile image is used in the application and on the public profile that you can use to share your credentials. If you do not want to upload one as you are activating your account you can Skip this step.

You can also review the application’s terms of service and privacy policy links before completing this step. Select Next

You will then be provided with a brief introduction to the mobile application. Click the play button and swipe through the next few screens to get an idea of how to use the main features of claiming and sharing credentials, exploring career pathways, and how to search and apply for jobs. When you are done with all of the intro slides, select Next

If you don’t want to see the training, you can click Skip. You will not be able to get back to this screen, however.  

 

The last step before using the mobile app is for you to select at least one career pathway. This will help you to use the mobile app to see the skills you need for a career and related jobs. Select one from the list or use the search box to explore your interests. Set at least one or a maximum of 5. Those you set as your pathways will appear with a star above the finish button. The last one selected will default to be your “favorite” and will be used when you first navigate the application. You can change this later.  When complete, click Finish to get the main home screen of the application.
